James Sicher



James Henry Sicher, 88 of Myrtle Beach passed away Sunday, February 05, 2017 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. He was born June 18, 1928 in Wyandotte, MI, son of the late Ralph and Cathleen Sarah Goodman Sicher.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Jean Golding-Sicher, two brothers, Richard and Donald Sicher and a sister, Phyllis Cinco.

Survivors include his loving wife of 18 years, Toby Gorin-Sicher, his children, Jim Sicher of Wyoming, Ken Sicher and wife Kay of Texas, William Sicher of Texas, grandchildren Sean Earhart Sicher of West Virginia, Stacy Michelle Cantrell, Henry David Cantrell and April Dawn Edwards all of Texas, great-grandchildren, Robert, Zachary, Sandy, Ryder, David, Ana and Natalee. Children of Toby, Cathy Haupt of Maryland, Steven Gorin of Florida, and Karen Gorin of North Carolina, grandchildren of Toby, Brenna and Darby of Florida, Jessica and Ben, Lisa, Jennifer and Mike all of Maryland.

He was a veteran of the United States Army where he participated in the Occupation Force during WWII, prior to the war he worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps.

James was a 32nd degree Mason Manasseh Lodge in Manassas, VA and he lived for scouting being a Scout Master for 30 years. He was active in local council, loved horse racing, camping, hunting, fishing, and hiking, anything that had to do with being outdoors. He also loved baseball.

Inurnment will be held at a later date in Quantico National Cemetery.
