Debra Brown Johnston

Debra Brown Johnston, age 63, lost her courageous battle against cancer Thursday, February 9, 2017, at MUSC, Charleston, SC with her husband of 42 years, Bobby Johnston by her side.

She was born March 29, 1953, in Conway, SC, daughter of Val Jean Brown and the late Harold Brown. Waiting to greet her with open arms in Heaven was her daddy.

Debra graduated from Conway High School in 1971 and later began a long career with Conway National Bank. Her infectious smile and friendly ways endeared her to customers and fellow employees. After retiring, she eventually returned to the work force with Beach Automotive Group until illness took over.

Nothing thrilled Debra more than riding her Harley with Bobby, pulling for NASCAR favorite Earnhardt, Jr. or cheering on those Carolina Gamecocks.

Left to cherish her memory along with Bobby and her mother is her loving family: Deanna (Al) White, Darlene (Steve) Morris, Harold (Kim) Brown, Christopher (Jenny) Brown, Laura (Richie) Williams, Joshua (Diane) Kullnat, Jacob (Kristy) Kullnat, Mary Kathryn, Boyd, Seth and Margaret Kennedy Brown, Luke, Avery and Grayson Williams, Grace and Georgia Brown and Jesse, Jordan, Abby, Kaylynn and Landon Kullnat.

Included in this family group are many special aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
