Thornton O. “Buddy” Lane, Jr., 72, of Myrtle Beach passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at his residence. He was born June 02, 1945 in Conway, SC son of the late Tornton Odell and Beulah Dusenbury Lane.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Sherry Robertson Lane and a brother, Marshall W. Lane.
Survivors include his son, Josh M. Lane; one brother, David Lane; one sister, Cynthia Danielsen and a grandson, Gabriel Lane all of Myrtle Beach.
Buddy was a member of the masonic lodge and he also served in the United States Army. He was in the sales industry in the Myrtle Beach area for many years.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 11, 2017 at Belin United Methodist Church, 4182 US-17 BUS, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
Memorial donations may be made in Buddy’s name to Autism Speaks, 1 East 33rd Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10016.

My dearest sympathy he was such a good man I remember how much she made me laugh one of my best customers at 5 somewhere I remember buddy and Bill and the other Bill come into three bees and we just make me laugh and I would already know exactly what beer they wanted soon as they walk through the door. He is not in pain anymore and is finally at rest Josh I have known you since grade school and I'm sure when we're 65 will still be good old childhood friends I can't say that I understand what you're going through but you know that I have had lost very close to me so I do understand your pain and will be here whenever you need phone call at anytime such a great family I am blessed that I am able to be part of your life I will be seeing you this afternoon at the memorial my dearest sorry.
