Michael Carlino, 62, of Myrtle Beach passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 08, 2017 at his residence. He was born January 05, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY, son of Angelo Carlino and Margaret Carlo Carlino.
Michael was an active member and deacon of Myrtle Beach Christian Church. He was also a volunteer of the Grand Strand Medical Center and had logged over six hundred and fifty volunteer hours. He also devoted time to the local nursing homes in hopes of being a friend to those in need and spreading the word of Jesus. There were no strangers to Michael because he was always willing to be a kind friend to all. He was an avid piano player. Along with the piano he could also play over eighteen different instruments. He had musical talents since he was a very small child. He was truly a gifted son of God.
He is survived by his brothers Louis Carlino, of New York, and Robert Carlino, of New York; his daughters Shannon Carlino, of Myrtle Beach, and Alexis Carlino, of Myrtle Beach; and his young grandchildren Eli Carlino, of Myrtle Beach, and Issac Carlino, of Myrtle Beach. He is preceeded in death by his parents Angelo Carlino and Margaret Carlino.
Michael Carlino was the true embodiment of a Christian, a dedicated church member, a loyal brother, the greatest father his daughters could have ever asked for and more, the most loving grandfather to his grandsons, and a friend to all. He brought faith, joy, laughter, optimism, and love to every person around him. Everyone that knew him most likely has a uniquely special and possibly a laughable moment that they shared with him. Although his absence may be painful to us left behind, those that knew him - knows that he is rejoicing in Heaven - where he wanted to be. Michael would not want his beloved friends and family to shed tears of sadness for him, but instead to continue to smile and praise God. To cheer for his ascent into his home in Heaven. That is why his family has chosen to have a celebration of life in place of a funeral.
A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Myrtle Beach Christian Church, 1226 Burcale Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579.
Condolences may be made at www.burroughsfh.com
Burroughs Funeral Home and Cremation Services (843.651.1440) of Murrells Inlet is assisting the family.
The family would like to give special thanks to Myrtle Beach Christian Church and Burroughs Funeral Home for all of their support, guidance, and services during this transition.
