Dennis Robert Hill, 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 10, 2018 at East Cooper Medical Facility in Mt. Pleasant, SC. He was born on November 3, 1941 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Robert Owen and Cara Leigh Pearl Navy Hill.
Along with his parents, Stick is preceded in passing by Roy, James & Clyde Navy; Donnie Navy Lattimore, Hattie Navy Garder, & Ethel Navy Oats.
"Stick," as Dennis was known to many as, was a humble man and always willing to offer the shirt from his back to any who may need it. He graduated from Harding High School in the Glennwood, area, currently known as Enderley. He was a member of Enderley Park Baptist Church in Northern Virginia. Stick relocated to Pawleys Island in 2012. He was an avid sports fan and loved to watch any game on, with his family. He was a, "Manly Man," but his whole heart, was his three granddaughters.
Left to cherish Stick's memory is his beloved daughter and best friend, Carla Denise Hill of Pawleys Island; her three girls and the apples of his eyes, Kayla, Alanna & Laura; his sister, Emily Gail Ewing and her husband Robert, his brother, James “Jimmy” Marshall Hill, and a loving extended family.
A Celebration of Stick's life will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.

Carla and girls, I am so sorry to hear about The loss of Stick. I enjoyed my time I got to spend with him and the you and the girls when mom was sick. He could make anyone smile and feel welcomed. He loved all of you so much!!Hug, love. and prayers for you all!
