Celebrating the life of Bertrand Beasely Cassels, Jr.
Thank you for signing Bertrand Beasely Cassels, Jr.'s Guestbook
It was Bert's job to keep all us junior officers in line as XO of the USS WHIPPLE (FF1062). Trust me, it wasn't an easy job. He is a great leader and every last one us truly respect the wonderful XO he was. It was an honor for me to reconnect with you and Bert a couple years ago. What a terrific memory I shall always treasure. William J. Reese, Ltjg, USNR, ASW Officer.

Bill and I aree so sorry to hear of Bert's passing. You were so devoted to him all these years, as was he to you. I know you take great comfort knowing it is your favorite time of year, Easter, with the tremendous comfort there. Miss seeing you, my friend!

Each time I remember Bert and you arriving at one of our '61 gatherings, I think of the huge, warm smiles you both wore. It was so obvious that you were devoted to one another, and you also drew your friends into your circle. I like to think that Arlie was among the first to welcome Bert. My heart hurts with you and pray that the memories of your full like together will be a comfort. Blessings and love, Bonnie Campbell-Kuhn

Bert was one of the best! He was proud of his navy career. It was always a pleasure to be with Bert and GG at our Club 11, class of '61, USNA reunions. He will be sorely missed.
