It was an honor to serve and to know Toby. He was an outstanding man, SrNCO, and friend. He would go out of his way to teach, mentor, and spend quality time with others. They don’t come any better than Toby McKnight. Prayers to you and your family. FFLP!

Toby and I have been close friends since 1996. I consider Toby and my 22-years of friendship a blessing from God. Toby was a guy that always made time for our friendship no matter what was going on. We could go months not talking to each other and pick up without missing a beat. Toby and I have gone through so many life changing moments together and I can honestly say if it wasn’t for his friendship, I would not be the person I am today. I thank god for his friendship and the time I was allotted to have him in my life. Our best of times where spent on the road traveling cross country together or just sitting back with a beer in our hands talking about life. Toby had a knack of making you feel like family and I always walked away from conversation knowing everything was alright. I’m truly sad that I don’t have him in my life anymore, but I know still have him in my heart. My life is forever shaped by one of the best of humans I’ve known.
Ralph, Nina, Lewis – be proud that your son impacted so many lives in such a positive way. I thank you for bringing me into your home and making me feel like family. I will never forget that feeling like I was one of Toby’s brothers.
Grier and Turner – You dad was truly one of the most amazing guys on this planet. Be proud of his service to our country and his sacrifice for you. Your dad talked about you both all the time to me and was so proud of you. He loved you both so very much. Everything he did, he did for you.
Toby – my best friend, I look forward meeting you again in a better place. May God grant you peace into his Kingdom of Heaven. Rest in peace Toby – love you brother.

We played Words with Friends for nine years, as I opened up the game today, I realized there won’t be any words to play…. Just like I am at a loss for words right now. I do know that when there was a darkness, you brought a light and when people were sad, you lifted their hearts. As we both became aware of God’s presences you have been born into eternal life with Him and all the other angels. You will be missed my friend.
