Robert “Bob” G. Adams, Jr., 65, passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, on Thursday June 21, 2018 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. He was born on March 29, 1953 in Burlington, New Jersey to the late Robert Glenden Sr., & Frances Elizabeth Dunnigan Adams.
Along with his parents, Bob is reunited with his beloved aunt, Anna May Talbot.
Bob graduated from Wolcott High School. He started working in the United States Post Office in Waterbury, Connecticut in 1970. He was proud to have served his community for over 40 years and retired with the title of Manager of Transportation/Networks for the Northeast Region. Bob was a devoted New York Giants and Boston Red Sox fan and loved watching the games and horse races with is best friends, Terry Doolan & Steve Fitzgerald. Bob and his wife, moved to Surfside Beach, South Carolina in 2015. He will forever be remembered for his own unique “charming” personality.
Left to cherish Bob’s memory are his beloved wife of 33 years, Rosanne Adams of Surfside Beach, SC; his sons, Jeffrey Adams of Waterbury, CT & Kevin Adams of Surfside Beach, SC; his brother, Richard Adams of Wolcott, CT; his sister, Barbara Adams of Wolcott, CT; his devoted uncle, Claude Talbot of Wolcott, CT; his cousins, Michael Talbot and his wife, Maureen & Phillip Talbot and his wife, Donna, all of Wolcott, CT; his brother in-law, George Riccardi and his wife, Margo & Carol Ann Gillis and her husband Paul, all of Waterbury, CT; sister in-law, Susan Riccardi of Surfside Beach, SC; as well as several nieces & nephews, a large, loving, extended family, and supportive friends and neighbors.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bob will be held on Friday June 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, 182 Robbins St. Waterbury, CT 06708.
At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6 Waltham, MA 02451 or at www.heart.org
