Paul E. Thompson

Paul E. Thompson, 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Murrells Inlet on March 2, 2026.

Born on March 22, 1949, in Dorchester, Virginia, Paul was the son of the late Alonzo and Gladys (Baker) Thompson. A dedicated professional, Paul spent 35 years working for Eli Lilly & Company at the Tippecanoe Laboratories until his retirement in 2004.

On June 23, 1979, Paul married the love of his life, Donna Arbuckle, with whom he shared nearly 47 years of marriage.

Paul’s legacy lives on through his beloved family:

• Wife: Donna Thompson of Murrells Inlet, SC.

• Sons: Matt (Tiffany) Thompson of Flora, Indiana; and Jason (Subasree) Thompson of Carmel, Indiana.

• Grandchildren: Rylee, Oliver, Jonas, and Lila.

Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Thompson.

Services: In accordance with Paul’s wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate his life and memory.
