We treasure our memories of Betty Herndon. Being with Betty brought laughter, genuine friendship and always a welcoming smile and hug. We knew her to be a person of great faith and compassion. She lived her faith and shared her many talents. She will be missed by many, but never forgotten. Terry and all the family, we will keep you in our prayers, and will be thinking of you on Tuesday.

What a beautiful and loving woman!!! She will always be Aunt Betty to me. There is hardly a childhood memory for me that doesn't include a Herndon. We were next door neighbors my entire life. Richard and my birthday were only a few days apart so we celebrated together many times. After Richard passed I often tried to catch up with Aunt Betty around the time of our birthdays. I was unable to try this past August as my granddaughter was at MUSC. I hate that I missed reaching out to her this year and was in fact just thinking of her when I heard the sad news. I know that she will be missed by many here on earth but also know that there is a most joyous reunion going on in heaven!!! She was one of the most beautiful persons, inside and out, that I ever had the honor of knowing.
