Cynthia “Red Snapper” Haraczy, 56, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday February 23, 2018 at her home in Myrtle Beach. She was born on July 11, 1961 in Albermarle, North Carolina to the late Billy Jo Hurlocker and Linda Nowling Hurlocker.
Along with her parents, Cynthia is preceded in passing by her sister, Virginia Phillips.
To her friends and family, Cynthia was known as, “Red Snapper,” a nick name she proudly embraced. She was a strong woman in every capacity and worked in the construction business, locally in the Myrtle Beach area for many years and taught briefly in Alaska.
Left to cherish Cynthia’s memory, is her beloved husband, Daniel Haraczy of Surfside Beach; her daughter, Raynell of Albermarle, NC; her brother, Mike Hurlocker and his wife Teresa of Albermarle, NC; her sister, Bobby Lynn Williams and her husband, Tim, also of Albermarle, NC; her grandsons, Lance Corp. Anthony Dale Smith & Austin Poplin; as well as a son, two granddaughters, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Cynthia’s Life will be held on Wednesday February 28, 2018 at 6:00 PM at Burroughs Funeral Home. 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. The family will greet friends immediately following the service until 8:00 PM.
At the request of the family, memorial contributions in Cynthia’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave N #101, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
The family wishes to express, with heartfelt gratitude, the exceptional care, love and support, Cynthia has received in her final days from Evi Isenberg, Nancy Shuler & Vicki Wlock. May God bless you in every way.
