"Do you care for a cup of coffee?"
Memories of my loving mother-in-law and wonderful grandmother of my beloved children. Helen's love for children was so caring and special that she needed to greet every baby she ever saw. She considered her self blessed when she was able to raise Chris-Anne and Nicholas, in such a loving and supporting Catholic way with her husband Clyde. They both taught us many important lessons in life until this day. Those beautiful memories will forever keep us strong and will be a reminder of what matters most in life. Helen enjoyed celebrating everyone's birthday, she kindly took time to send cards and make phone calls in a good old-fashioned way.
Her sense of curiosity for the world around made her read the "must have" daily newspapers. This kept all of us aware of happy and sad events in the world. Her favorite TV shows as well as other channels evoked her strong reactions and feedback towards the world we live in. Flowers blooming gave her positive vibes and joy to her the days, as well as many inspirations to welcome the seasons," in good spirit".
Family photos, letters, cards, and recipes gave her new ideas and reasons to celebrate life. Her commitment to care and love her various pets throughout her life, especially her cats Dusty and Ginger, brought to her so much joy and companionship. Friends and family visits to her home gave the opportunity for good communication and relationships. Family style meals and good company were always part of her mindful repertoire. Coffee and dessert added to the eventful times, and memorable conversations we'll forever treasure. Catherine Helen Emmons
"It has a been God's gift to me, an honor, a privilege to be your friend and daughter-in-law".
