Obituary

Anthony Tesoriero, 73, passed away with his loving family by his side on Monday August 6, 2018 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. He was born on October 20, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late Gaetano Tesoriero & Madeline Tesoriero.

Along with his parents, Anthony is reunited with his brothers, Thomas & Peter Tesoriero; and his sisters, Elena & Gloria.

Anthony was drafted to serve in the United States Army in 1965. He proudly served until his honorable discharge in 1974. Upon his return to New York, Anthony went on to become a very successful business and financial analyst, after receiving his Master’s degree in Business. He worked for Wakefern Food Corporation, modern day Shop Rite and had an exclusive accounting practice as a side project. Anthony had a heart of gold and an admirable work ethic. He would gladly assist his neighbors and the elderly with their taxes and constantly donated his time and funds to a multitude of charities. Anthony will be missed for his caring demeanor and giving nature.

Left to cherish Anthony’s memory is his wife of 30 years, Susan D. Tesoriero of Murrells Inlet, SC; his children, Lisa Heckel and her husband, Christopher of Myrtle Beach, Andrew Tesoriero and his wife, Elizabeth of North Carolina & Lee Tesoriero of New Jersey; his grandson, CJ Heckel; sisters, Marie DaLielo of Florida & Angie Tesoriero of Brooklyn, New York; his sister in-law, Rose Tesoriero also of Brooklyn, New York; as well as a large loving, extended family, several nieces and nephews, many supportive friends, neighbors and grateful clients.

A Celebration of Anthony’s life will be held privately. A Graveside Service will be held at Calverton National Cemetery and those details will be announced when finalized.
