Martha Ann Patton, 89, of Myrtle Beach, SC formerly of Falls Church, VA, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 25, 2018 at her residence. She was born October 03, 1928 in Avondale, WV, daughter of the late Mont and Hallie Waldron Walls.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers, Guy Walls, Kenny Walls and Herbert Walls; sisters Mary Privett, Wanda Mullen, Beatrice Doughty and Clarice Steele; and son-in-law, James Thomas Reese.
Survivors include her son, Cornell Patton and his wife Melissa Patton of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Sandra Reese of Williamsburg, VA; granddaughters, Jamie Baker and husband Brian of Williamsburg, VA and Olivia Patton of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson, Zachary Patton of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Katherine Muncy of Welch, WV and Bettie Canellas of Camby, IN and brother, Irvin Walls of Mooresville, NC.
Martha enjoyed spending her time reading the Bible and talking about Jesus, listening to christian music, watching ball games, spending time with family and friends, and anything to do with working in the yard including, raking leaves, growing vegetables and flowers.
She was a member of World Wide Ministries and the National Republican Committee.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Martha’s name to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 28 West 44th Street, Suite 609, New York, NY 10036.

I can remember talking with my Grandma Walls how proud she was of her daughter and how much she loved her..When I was able to spend time with her and my Dad I realized how truly special she was...
