Bernadett Grant



Bernadett Ban Grant, 83, of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 28th, 2018 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital. She was born November 8th, 1934 in Rabacsecseny, Hungary, daughter of the late Géza Bán and Mária Horváth. She immigrated to Princeton, NJ in 1956 at age 22 to escape the war during the Hungarian revolution.

Along with her parents, Bernadett is reunited with her husband, Edward Grant; son, Zoltan Grant; and her two sisters. Survivors include her sons, Roger Grant and Mark Grant of Murrells Inlet, SC; grandchildren, Savannah Grant and Wilson Grant of Spartanburg, SC; Matthew Grant of North Myrtle Beach, SC; Sarah, Madeline, Emma, and William Grant of Murrells Inlet, SC and sister, Marika Zakarias Ferencné of Budapest, Hungary.

Bernadett enjoyed watching the sunset on Murrells Inlet, gardening, cooking, attending church, and laughing.

A Celebration of Bernadett’s life will be held on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church, 4499 US Highway 17 Bypass South, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

Memorial contributions can be made in Bernadett’s name to Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church.
