Celebrating the life of Roosevelt Westbury
Thank you for signing Roosevelt Westbury's Guestbook
Thanks for the obituary of Roosevelt. We worked together in an Engineering department headed by Chris Fredriksen when we were called Federal Electric Corp or it may have been Federal Services Corp. our group was called Optics and Special Systems. Roosevelt and I and others were responsible for upgrades and installation of telescopes and domes located on Anderson Peak, Tranquillion Peak and Santa Ynez Peak. We had many enjoyable years working together, he was a very knowledgeable skilled practical engineer.

I met Roosevelt in 1957-1958 while we were both employed by the Federal Electric Corp. on the DEW line in Alaska. He and I had many pig-pong games playing doubles. I met him again when I transferred to Vandenberg AFB in 1960. Wes was always a kind and gentle person, that was My great privilege to know.

So sorry to hear about your loss. May God comfort you and your family with His promises. I'm so glad that I got to know "Wess". He added humor, inspiration, Christian knowledge and a great deal of common sense to my life. I'm going to miss him and I know to see him again when we all are called home on that Great Day.
