Patricia Ann McKinnon, 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 3, 2018 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She was born on April 8, 1946 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Raymond Mack & Virginia Jean Heckler Mack.
Patricia was a fun-loving and outgoing person. She and her husband lived most of their lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After 53 years, Mr. & Mrs. McKinnon relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina, and recently to Pawleys Island, South Carolina where they could be close to the beach and enjoy their retirement. Patricia played tennis and golf for many years and she loved to watch sports in her free time and was an avid reader who would finish a multitude of novels a month. Above all else, Patricia loved her family and being with friends.
Left to cherish Patricia’s memory are her beloved husband, with whom she would have celebrated 40 years of marriage in March, Mr. Paul Michael McKinnon of Pawleys Island, SC; children, Lynne Ann Gonzalez of Greensboro, NC & Krista Dawn Mahoney of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Amanda Michelle McKinnon, & Austin Patrick McKinnon; her brother, Larry Mack and his wife, Carol of Pittsburgh, PA; her sister, Jan Dorrance; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins; a large, loving extended family & many supportive friends and neighbors.
A Celebration of Patricia’s life will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
At the request of the family, memorial contributions in Patricia’s name may be made to the Animal Charity or Organization of your choice.
