Sarah Alexandria McCall Watkins



Sarah Alexandria McCall Watkins, 24, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday October 5, 2017. She was born on September 1, 1993 in Georgetown South Carolina to Christopher Watkins and Cortney Hunt.

McCall, as she was popularly known as, was a proud survivor of a battle she fought valiantly with thyroid cancer. She was a bright and artistic soul who loved to draw, color her coloring books, listen to music, solve jig-saw puzzles and most importantly, spend time with her friends, family and loved ones.

Along with her parents, Cortney Hunt and her husband Dakota of Conway & Christopher and his wife Melissa of Marietta Georgia; left to cherish McCall’s memory is her paternal grandparents, Gila May & Gevone Norris of Murrells Inlet; her maternal grandmother, Kathyrn Anglin and her partner Steve Wade; her paternal great-grandparents, Patsy & Harvey Lowes; her brother, Gage Watkins of Conway; her sisters, Taylor Boyd of Virginia & Hayden Chapman of Conway; her step-mother, Paula Melton; step-brother, Tracy Childers and his wife Theresa; her uncle Jason Watkins of Murrells Inlet; her beloved fur baby, Lillie Watkins; her best friend of many years, Shaye Bogle; as well as many great-uncles, great-aunts, nieces, nephews and a large loving extended family, many friends, neighbors and acquaintances all who had the joy of knowing such a beautiful woman.

Preceding McCall in passing is her maternal grandfather, Butch Melton and her maternal great-grandparents.

A Celebration of McCall’s life will be held on Wednesday October 11, 2017 at 5:00 PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. The family will greet friends immediately following the service, until 7:00 PM.

At the request of the family, Memorial Contributions in McCall’s name may be made to the Thyroid Cancer Research Foundation, ThyCa Donation, P.O. Box 1102, Olney, MD 20830-1102. The family has also started a, Go Fund Me page to assist families and others battling with addiction.
