Louise Cecelia (Perron Negip) Berthiaume
Louise C. Berthiaume died peacefully in her home on May 4, 2018 in Garden City, South Carolina at the age of 85. At her time of death she was surrounded by her family- her husband of 42 years, Robert Berthiaume; her son, Lee Negip of Napa, CA; her son, Scott Negip of Garden City, SC; her daughter, Tracey (Negip) Weiland of Murrells Inlet, SC; and her sister, Genevieve (Perron) Roso of Myrtle Beach, SC. Born on September 27, 1932, Louise was the first daughter of the late Louis & Frances (Mis) Perron. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Nancy F. (Perron) Bednarz. She is survived by her brother, Joseph A. Perron, along with her daughter-in- law, Marilyn J. Negip, her son-in-law, Steve D. Weiland, three grandchildren, Jason S. Negip, Vanessa L. Hatch, Mazzy G. Weiland and three great grandchildren, Jayden Negip, Atom Hatch and Isaac Hatch.
Formerly of Southbridge, MA, Louise’s full life was one of enjoying her family, along with music, Scrabble, computer games, crossword puzzles, dancing, camping, the beach, swimming and traveling. She was an avid lifelong New England sports fan.
A graduate of Mary E. Wells High School, Southbridge, MA, Louise lovingly raised her family and later in life managed the Dunham Shoe store in Sturbridge MA.
Louise was preceded in death by her first husband, Emile B. Negip. The family gathered at her daughter’s home to celebrate her life where stories were told of her life amongst laughter and crying.
She was given the last rites of the Catholic Church and chose cremation as her last wishes. A memorial mass will be held in her honor at a later date at St. Michaels Church in Garden City, SC. She will be dearly missed by everyone who had the honor of her love and friendship.
